Kindness Challenge for Kids - Hope and Positivity Resource - Spread Kindness to the world, your community and in your home!
In response to the recent tragic events, we have created two Kindness Challenges designed to help children focus on the positive aspects of the world around them and spread kindness and cheer. This activity encourages children to complete acts of kindness, helping themselves and others to feel good.
About This Resource
The Kindness Challenge is a feel-good resource that encourages children to think of and complete acts of kindness in various settings: to the world (eco/environmental kindness), within their community and at home. Additionally, it prompts them to perform a final kind act for their own well-being. This resource also doubles as a colouring sheet, making it a versatile tool for youth groups, holiday clubs and parents in light of the recent Southport attack and riots.
How to Use
- Download and Print: Start by downloading and printing the Kindness Challenge sheet.
- Explore Kind Acts: Encourage children to think of acts of kindness they can complete for each of the categories and write them in the space provided.
- Perform Kind Acts: Have children complete their acts of kindness!
- Colour and Reflect: Children can colour the sheet as they reflect on how the challenge has made them feel.
Benefits
- Positive Thinking: Promotes a positive mindset by completing good deeds and helpful thoughts.
- Hope and Optimism: Reinforces the idea that there is a lot of good in the world and that most people are kind.
- Engagement and Creativity: Combines reflective thinking with a creative and mindful colouring activity.
Summary
The Kindness Challenge is an engaging and reflective activity that helps children spread kindness and cheer to their community, loved ones and themselves. This resource is ideal for youth groups, holiday clubs, and parents looking to instil positive thinking and hopefulness in children who may feel scared or anxious.
