We’re living in a time where we have the knowledge and tools to change the future of mental health. Yet, as a society, we’re not doing enough. Be Happy Resources is the brainchild of Jenny Chesworth, who after experiencing anxiety since childhood and working in mental health, decided to launch an inexpensive resource centre to help parents and professionals support children in their care.
Jenny’s son, Zach, started experiencing anxiety in 2020 during the first lockdown, when he was just three years old. Unable to leave the house, Jenny started creating resources to help him understand his thoughts and emotions. The first resource was a set of physical flashcards – Monster Cards – which featured 35 different emotions, discussion prompts and mindful exercises. A year later, in September 2021, Jenny and Zach had created over 150 resources together and Jenny launched this as a monthly subscription of printable mental health resources. Be Happy Resources was born.
Our aim is to be accessible and affordable, that is why our monthly subscription is cheaper than a takeaway coffee and a McDonald’s Happy Meal. Our resource centre now has thousands of members from all over the world, from schools to parents to healthcare professionals and mental health charities. We have worked with CAHMS, local councils and countless schools to bring children resources that educate, inspire and support their mental health.

We believe it’s never too early to learn about mental health. Here are our promises to you:
- We constantly upload new resources, week in week out – and if we don’t have the resource you’re looking for – we’ll make it for you! All our members get to request resources for free.
- Our resources are tried and tested, created by experts in wellbeing and based on approved therapist techniques. We’re not reinventing the wheel – we take what works and make it fun and interactive for children.
- We’re here to support you – got a question or a suggestion? We’re always happy to hear your feedback. We believe in working closely with our members to ensure our resources are always fit for purpose.
- Our resources are fun and engaging – we believe in creating fun, visual resources and activities that children enjoy. Learning shouldn’t be a chore!
- Coping techniques that last a lifetime – we believe early education is key in helping care for the brains of the future. Our resources teach your children skills and techniques to take into adulthood and help them build resilience to manage life’s ups and downs.
Although care is taken in creating every single resource, and we seek the approval of our Clinical Psychologist for our support-based resources, we would always recommend discussing the use of our resources with a healthcare professional. Our resources are not meant as a replacement for professional support.
Children love our resources and you will too! We have been featured in:
