Furry Monster Breathing – A Mindful Finger Tracing Activity for Emotional Reset

Our fun, furry monsters are here to help your children feel calm, explore their emotions, and learn to understand their minds!

Start by downloading our first resource, Furry Monster Breathing. Guide your children as they follow the prompts and trace their fingers around the dotted line, breathing in and out slowly. They can even colour in and decorate their monster to make it more personal for them.

You can adjust the breathing pattern depending on their age:

  • Under 5 years: hold for 1–2 seconds.

  • Ages 5–7: hold for 2–3 seconds.

  • Ages 8 and up: hold for 3–4 seconds.

This simple breathing exercise helps children ground themselves, regulate big feelings, and return to a sense of calm. Download now!
