Emotion Connect 4 - A Fun Scenario and Discussion Game Children Will Love! - Includes 72 Scenario Cards

A fun Connect 4-style game with 72 everyday scenarios to explore emotions, emotional literacy and different perspectives.

About This Resource

Emotion Connect 4 gets children thinking, talking and playing as they explore the emotions that can come with everyday experiences.

Players take turns choosing a scenario card, considering how the situation might make them feel and matching it to an emotion on the game board. Then it’s time to shade their space and try to connect four!

The scenarios create natural opportunities to explore emotional vocabulary, self-awareness and different perspectives, all wrapped up in a game children will actually want to play.

72 Scenarios to Explore

With 72 different scenario cards, there are plenty of opportunities to explore emotions across familiar situations involving school, friendships, family, achievements, mistakes, worries, changes and everyday life.

Explore Different Perspectives

Emotion Connect 4 is particularly useful for helping children understand that the same experience can feel completely different to different people.

Encourage players to explain their choice:

Why would you feel that way?
Would everybody feel the same?

Great For:

Use Emotion Connect 4 during ELSA sessions, emotional literacy interventions, nurture groups, counselling and therapy, PSHE lessons, pastoral sessions, SEND support or simply as a fun classroom activity.

It works particularly well one-to-one or in small groups, where adults can follow children's answers with further questions and discussion.
