Resource Info

Change can seem scary, but is a normal part of everyday life. Sometimes, lots of things can seem to be changing at the same time which can often feel overwhelming. When this happens, it helps us to look at what is changing and why, and how this will help us. This worksheet helps children to explore change and think of change as a more positive part of life.

Directions: Fill in our prompts to explore how a specific change in your child’s life is making them feel. This resource will help them explore ways to look differently at what is changing and what they can do when this change is causing distress.

Emotion Circle
The Emotion Circle is a simple and effective exercise to help children develop their emotional literacy skills and promote self-regulation.

Directions: Ask your child to think about the four emotions in the circle – happy, sad, excited and worried. Can they draw or write down things in each quarter that make them feel those emotions?
