The Scoop on Me

A fun cut-and-stick confidence activity encouraging children to celebrate six amazing things that make them who they are!

About This Resource

The Scoop on Me is a creative ice cream-themed activity designed to get children thinking about their strengths, qualities, interests, and all the little things they like about themselves.

Children are invited to think of six amazing things about themselves and write them onto their individual ice cream scoops. These might be hobbies they enjoy, qualities they have, things they are good at, or simply things they like about themselves.

Once their scoops are complete, children can colour and decorate them before cutting them out and stacking them onto their cone to create their very own unique ice cream!

The result is a colourful confidence craft where no two ice creams need to look the same.

Features

  • Fun ice cream-themed confidence activity
  • Six individual scoops for children to write on
  • Colour, cut-and-stick format
  • Supports creativity and self-expression
  • Finished ice cream craft to display or take home
  • Child-friendly printable design

Benefits

The Scoop on Me provides a relaxed and creative way to explore self-esteem without making the activity feel too serious or demanding.

Children are encouraged to recognise and celebrate:

  • Their positive qualities
  • Things they are good at
  • Hobbies and interests they enjoy
  • Their individual personalities
  • Things they like about themselves
  • What makes them different from others

It can also provide a useful starting point for conversations about confidence, individuality, strengths, and why we don’t all need to be the same.

How to Use

Invite children to think of six amazing things about themselves. Encourage them to think beyond achievements, being kind, funny, curious, creative, caring, determined, or a good friend are just as worthy of a scoop!

Children write one idea on each ice cream scoop before simply cutting out the scoops and building their ice cream.

The completed crafts make a lovely confidence display, individual wellbeing activity, transition resource, or take-home piece.

Use It on Its Own or Pair with Our August Meditation

The Scoop on Me works brilliantly as a standalone confidence and self-esteem activity, making it suitable for use at any point throughout the year.

It also pairs beautifully with our August Meditation – The Unique Scoop.

After imagining an ice cream made from their own choices during the meditation, children can continue exploring the theme by creating a real ice cream filled with the qualities, interests, and characteristics that make them who they are.

Together, the two resources offer a fun and accessible way to explore individuality, confidence, and being comfortable with who you are. Download it now!
