Resource Info

Pick up a worry worm,
Take it everywhere you go,
Tell it all your worries,
It always wants to know!

Take a Worry Worm is a creative and interactive resource designed to help children ease their worries and encourage open discussion.

Directions: Cut out and keep our Worry Worms handy for your children to grab and take with them on the go. When they are worried, they can confide in their Worry Worm who will keep their worry safe until they are able to speak to a grown up.

Benefits:
• Easing Worries: The Worry worm serves as a comforting companion for children when they experience worries. By expressing their concerns to the Worry Worm, children externalise their worries and may find some relief in sharing their thoughts.
• Encouraging Discussion: The presence of the Worry Worm can prompt children to engage in discussions about their worries. It can serve as a catalyst for open conversations with parents, professionals, or teachers about their concerns and emotions.
• Portable Support: The Worry Worm is designed to be portable, allowing children to take it with them wherever they go. This provides a sense of security and a tangible reminder that they have a safe space to express their worries, even when they are away from their trusted adults.
• Emotional Awareness: By using the Worry Worm, children develop an increased awareness of their emotions. They learn to recognise and communicate their worries, which can contribute to emotional intelligence and self-regulation skills.

Take a Worry Worm is a valuable resource for parents, professionals, and teachers who aim to support children in managing their worries. It encourages children to express their concerns, promotes open dialogue, and provides a tangible tool to help them cope with their worries until they can seek support from a trusted adult.
