Empower your pupils to take action during Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 with My Community Pledge - a free, printable activity designed to help children understand the value of their role within a community. Whether used alongside our Primary Mental Health Awareness Week Presentation or on its own, this resource encourages children to think about how they can show kindness, offer support, and be a positive presence in the world around them.
About This Resource
My Community Pledge invites children to reflect on one small but meaningful way they can be a valuable member of their community. The activity includes a clear, child-friendly prompt and space for pupils to write their pledge. This could be anything from being a good friend, using kind words or simply listening to others.
The simplicity of the activity allows for a wide range of responses and opens the door for further discussion about values like respect, empathy, and teamwork.
Mental Health Awareness Week 2025
Taking place from 12th–18th May, Mental Health Awareness Week is a nationwide campaign focused on raising awareness, encouraging conversations, and building emotionally healthier communities. It’s the perfect time to introduce children to the importance of looking after their own mental health and understanding the emotional wellbeing of others.
This year’s theme, Power in Community, recognises how connection, care, and collective action help build a strong foundation for wellbeing. This pledge activity is a practical and empowering way for children to explore how they can actively contribute to that positive community culture.
