Be Happy Summer Camp – Week Six, Activity One – All Weather Wheel
All Weather Wheel and Chart - Identify and Manage Emotions to earn our All Weather Badge
It’s the last week of the Be Happy Summer Camp 2026, and we’re leaving you with an activity that can be used all year round!
This activity is all about building emotional resilience and helping children learn to weather all kinds of emotional weather. Children begin by identifying how they’re feeling, before matching their emotion with coping skills and strategies that might help them through it.
Just like the weather outside, our feelings can change throughout the day, week and month. Sometimes we might feel bright and sunny, while other times things can feel stormy and cloudy. This two-step activity gives children a simple, visual way to recognise their feelings and think about what they might need.
What's included?
- All Weather Feelings Wheel: A visual tool children can use to identify their current emotional “weather” and begin putting a name to how they feel.
- All Weather Coping Skills Chart: Once children have identified their emotional weather, they can explore different coping strategies and choose something that might help them manage the feeling.

This activity can also be used as a standalone printable, so you can use it even if you're not taking part in this year's Summer Camp - simply discard the first page and enjoy!
