Encouraging kindness is a great way to help children build a resilient and positive mindset. Being kind to others and experiencing kindness in return has been shown to make us feel good and improve our mental health.

Ask your children to come up with five ways they can show kindness this week – perhaps it’s giving someone a compliment or helping with a chore at home? Have your child write down their acts of kindness and tick them off as they complete them. After they have completed their five acts, ask them how they are feeling and what they have learnt about being kind.
