Be Happy Summer Camp – Week Four, Activity Two – Design a Wildlife Poster

Wildlife Warrior Badge - Design a Wildlife Poster

Encourage children to discover the power of standing up for something they care about with our Wildlife Warrior Badge. Combining creativity, wildlife conservation and emotional wellbeing, this meaningful activity helps children recognise that even small actions can make a positive difference.

Children begin by choosing a wildlife cause they care about, with ideas including saving bees, helping hedgehogs, protecting butterflies, caring for garden birds and keeping wildlife litter-free. They’ll then create their own eye-catching campaign poster using words, pictures, colours and facts to persuade other people to care about their chosen cause too.

But being a Wildlife Warrior is about more than making a poster! Children are encouraged to spread their message by displaying their campaign at home or, with permission, on a community noticeboard, in a library, supermarket or another local space where others can see it.

The activity also introduces children to the connection between purpose and emotional wellbeing, helping them explore how caring about something, taking positive action and using their voice can help them feel capable, connected and proud of the difference they can make.

Perfect for home, classrooms, holiday clubs or community groups, this simple but powerful activity combines creativity and advocacy while encouraging children to realise that their voice matters and they can make a difference.
