This week, we’re earning our Bravery Badge by challenging your children to try five new things! Trying something new - no matter how small - teaches our brains that we can handle the unknown. Each brave step helps build confidence, resilience, and self-belief.

Encourage your children to take on five new challenges this week and watch their courage and confidence grow with every try, all whilst earning another Summer Camp badge!

Week Two, Activity Two - 5 Things To Try This Week - Bravery Badge

A simple bravery challenge to help children build confidence - one small step at a time!

This printable Bravery challenge encourages children to take small, manageable steps outside of their comfort zones.
They’ll think of five new things to try over the week - from tasting new foods to trying a hobby - then reflect on how it made them feel.

It’s a powerful, confidence-building challenge that helps children realise how brave they already are, and how much more they can do!

How to Use:

  1. Print the “5 Things to Try” activity sheet.

  2. Help the child think of 5 brave actions they’d like to try this week - big or small.

    • E.g. trying a new food, joining a new game, learning to tie their shoelaces.

  3. Write them down in the spaces provided.

  4. As each one is completed, reflect on how it felt - proud, nervous, excited, calm?

  5. Shade the feelings scale to show how each small challenge made them feel.

  6. Finally, cut out the Bravery Badge and stick it to the badge sheet to celebrate!
