Resource Info

My Thought Goals is an engaging football-themed resource that empowers children to identify and replace unhelpful thoughts with positive ones.

By recognising the impact of their thoughts on their well-being, children can develop a habit of positive thinking. Challenge your children to set their own "thought goals" and actively work towards thinking them every day!

About this resource:

Children are prompted to write down three unhelpful thoughts they have had over the past week and then create new, positive thoughts to replace them. These positive thoughts become their "thought goals" that they can strive to think each day.

Benefits:

• Positive Thinking: My Thought Goals nurtures positive thinking by guiding children to focus on empowering thoughts. By identifying unhelpful thoughts and replacing them with positive alternatives, children learn to reframe their mindset and build a more optimistic outlook.
• Recognising Negative Thought Patterns: This resource encourages children to become aware of their negative thought patterns. By identifying and writing down unhelpful thoughts, children gain insight into their own thinking habits, which is the first step towards challenging and transforming them.
• Personalised Motivation: By setting and tracking thought goals, children develop a sense of personal motivation and accountability. They take ownership of their thoughts and actively work towards thinking positive, supportive, and uplifting thoughts every day.
• Thought Management: My Thought Goals serves as a thought management resource, teaching children valuable skills in recognising and redirecting their thoughts.

By consistently focusing on their thought goals and replacing unhelpful thoughts, children gain greater control over their thinking patterns and emotional well-being.

This resource is suitable for parents, professionals, and teachers who seek to inspire positive thinking and support children in recognising and transforming unhelpful thoughts into empowering ones.
