My Support Circle - Support Network Exploration Resource - WMHD2025 - FREE

A reflective worksheet for young people to map out their immediate, extended, and wider support networks during tricky times. Use alongside our World Mental Health Day 2025 Presentation for Secondary Schools.

For teenagers and older pupils, understanding that help comes in many forms is key to building resilience and confidence in seeking support. The My Support Circle activity provides a structured yet flexible way for students to explore the different layers of people, services, and organisations they can rely on when life feels difficult.

By placing themselves at the centre of a circle and then identifying their closest helpers, trusted adults, and wider services in each surrounding layer, students create a personalised map of their unique support network. This free printable activity is perfect for World Mental Health Day 2025, but it’s also an excellent resource for PSHE lessons, tutor time, or wellbeing sessions at any time of the year.

  • Free to download, print, and share.

About This Resource

The My Support Circle activity is designed to help young people think critically about where and how they can access support. At the centre of the circle, they draw themselves or write their name. In the first ring, they add the people they trust most - close friends or family. In the next layer, they include other safe adults, such as teachers, extended family, coaches, or GPs. In the outer layer, they note down services such as local organisations, helplines, or charities.

By the end, students have a clear visual representation of the many different types of support available to them. This activity not only builds awareness of immediate resources but also highlights the importance of wider systems of care.

World Mental Health Day 2025

The theme for World Mental Health Day 2025 is “Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies: Access to Services.” For young people, this translates into an important reminder: access to support isn’t always straightforward, but there are always helpers if you know where to look.

My Support Circle links directly to this theme by showing students how to map out support at different levels, reinforcing the message that no one is ever completely alone, even during tricky times.
