Campfire Conversations is a printable wellbeing activity designed to help children connect with others, express themselves, and build confidence through guided conversation.

It includes 24 fun and meaningful conversation starters perfect for pairs, families, or small groups. Whether you're sitting around a real fire or a pretend one, these prompts help open up playful, thoughtful chats that boost emotional awareness and build social skills.

Features:

  • Build your own campfire craft.
  • A mix of fun, silly, reflective, and feelings-based prompts.

  • Easy cut-out format - draw from a jar or pick at random.

  • Encourages listening, empathy, and confidence.

  • Great for ages 4–11.

  • Ideal for home, school, youth clubs, or wellbeing sessions.

Wellbeing Benefits:

  • Builds connection with family, friends, or peers.

  • Supports emotional literacy and self-expression.

How to Use:

  1. Print and cut out the conversation cards.

  2. Encourage your children to craft their own campfire by colouring, or painting and sticking together.

  3. Sit around the campfire and take turns choosing a card and asking someone the question.

  4. Answer as honestly or playfully as you like - there's no right or wrong!

  5. Everyone listens with kindness. It’s okay to skip questions if someone doesn’t want to answer.

  6. After your conversation, cut out the Campfire Conversations badge and stick it to your badge sheet.

  7. Ask your child to reflect on the activity and shade the feelings scale to show how it made them feel.

A perfect blend of fun and wellbeing, helping children feel heard, connected, and more confident expressing who they are.
