This week we're learning how exercise impacts our wellbeing. Being active regularly is important for your wellbeing and has amazing benefits, not just for your physical health, but for your mental health too! When you run, play, or do any physical activity, your brain releases those special "feel-good" chemicals that make you feel happy and calm. Exercising can help you sleep better, feel less stressed and have more energy to do fun things. The more you move and play, the better you’ll feel inside and out!

How to

Let's create an outdoor exercise routine using things from nature! You can run, skip, hop, jump, and more. Try to include elements of the outdoors in your six-step routine, like jumping over rocks, lifting small logs, or reaching up to touch tree branches! Write down your six steps in your plan, then complete them.

Remember to warm up before and after by stretching your muscles. Take a moment to notice how you feel before and after completing your outdoor exercise routine. Complete this activity with an adult present to ensure you're not doing anything too strenuous!
