Resource Info

Donut Worry is a sweet new worry management resource designed to help children and teens categorise their most bothersome worries to understand which ones to manage first.

We love making resources fun at Be Happy and this activity is bound to get your mouth watering! Donut Worry is here to help children manage their worries by encouraging them to organise them into small, medium and big worries. The resource then prompts them to take action and manage their worries, perhaps by making an action plan, or speaking to a professional about the worries they have written down.

Directions: Download, print and sit down with your child. If your child has a lot of worries this resource is designed to help them assess which ones are affecting them the most. Ask them about their worries, what they worry about and what thoughts they have. Then ask them to think which one bothers them the most - this can be one they think more than the others, or one that makes them feel more worried than the others. Have them write them down on the big, medium and small donuts. This helps your children to develop self awareness over their worries and make a plan to tackle them. Plus, some children and young people will feel relief in writing the worry down and discussing their worries with an adult.

Download Donut Worry now and help the children and teens in your care explore and manage their worries.
