How to Use:

  1. Download and Print - If you're a member, click the 'Download Now' button and print the Inside Out Pie Chart Activity. This printable emotional literacy resource features the iconic characters from Inside Out.
  2. Identify Emotions - Introduce the activity and emotions to children, you can watch the film or use this resource if with any child that is familiar with the characters from Inside Out! Encourage children to reflect on their current emotions using the emotions in our key.
  3. Shade the Chart - Shade the key to reflect how much they are feeling of each emotion. For example, if they are feeling mostly sad, they would shade most of the circle blue. If they are feeling angry and scared, they would shade most of the pie chart green and red.
  4. Discuss and Reflect - After completing the activity, discuss with your children. Encourage them to share why they chose certain emotions and how they're feeling overall. Use this opportunity to validate their feelings and offer support as needed.
