Odd socks are the symbol of the anti-bullying movement, teaching children that we are all unique and that it’s ok to be different!
Directions: Design a pair of odd socks for Anti-Bullying Week. Think about how the socks can be unique just like you. Perhaps you can draw all the things that make you happy and all the things you like doing?
Classroom activity: Have children design their odd socks that are all about them – they can include their favourite colours, hobbies, family members or things that make them happy. Then, have them pair up and swap their designs – what do the socks tell them about the other person? Are their socks different to theirs?
